sculpture – tribes
I've made several pieces consisting of groups of figures. Bigger than families, I call them 'tribes'. Groups of individuals who have something in common or a common purpose. Is there safety in numbers? Are they gathering together to feel secure or are they a force to reckon with? A tribe can quickly become a mob or perhaps they're protecting their territory. Are you with us or against us?
